My answer to that is anywhere truly safe in the world today? Bali is a wonderful island with so much to see and do for not just the young but families especially. The people of Bali will welcome you and care for you, after all the majority of their economy is tourism. My own family have travelled to Bali for over 30 years now and have never had a serious incident and we still get excited returning year after year.
